Tangles were sculptured by me and made in Hong Kong. We have been part of the Fair from 1986 onwards and our business grew with it. Due to the broad reach to markets around the world, we are now in more than 40 countries and still growing. I am a big fan of this fair and I would say it is the best-run show in the world. I have won a 10 million unit order from a giantic multinational beverage company at this Fair, and during the last show alone we received two orders, one from Poland and the other from South Africa, for over US$150,000. We are now venturing into outdoor sports, science models and home health-care products including therapeutic tools, and we hope our success story will continue here.

I created Henry Cat art stones to infuse art and love into life. This personal gift item evolved into a viable studio shop in a scenic town in Taiwan. Through the promotion at the HKTDC gifts and premium fair in the past seven years, our business kept growing and distributed to international. Our product lines have expanded to cups, bags, pillows and personal accessories. On average, we generate orders amounting to US$300,000 to US$400,000 every time we come here, on top of the development of country distributors. The organizer invests a great deal of resources into this Fair and it is an excellent platform to promote the growing culture and creativity industry in Asia.

Our company started in Moscow in 2002 specializing in gifts for men. Now we have 350 shops in Russia, Ukraine, U.S.A., Serbia and Azerbaijan plus Japan in the near future and hopefully in Hong Kong. We also organize expedition car races across Russia over two weeks as well as survival journeys for clients who are keen to explore the wilderness and their own limits. Our globalization push started here at the Fair in 2010 because it attracts people from all over the world. And sure enough, we have found our U.S., South Africa, New Zealand, Singapore, Dubai, European and other distributors here. Our presence at the Fair is three-fold: branding, identifying business partners for country distribution and franchise shops. We are achieving all three.

The HKTDC website brought me to the Fair. It all started four years ago when I came across some fabulous document folders in Japan. Thinking they have good potential in the high-end market in the U.S., my challenge was to source them. I decided to start with China. It is the world factory after all. And the HKTDC site provided the leads. After making a profitable business out of the folders, I think it is time for me to visit the Fair and check out more possibilities. I am impressed by the innovative ideas and high-quality products on the fairground, especially in the Hall of Fine Designs. We run a giveaway design operation in Taiwan, serving IT companies, multinationals, direct-sell companies and public relations and advertisement agencies. I often find products that meet my requirements at this well-organized exhibition.
