“Podaraci.Bg specialises in online sales business providing more than 3,000 fun gifts on our website. We also offer personalised gifts for corporate clients. We are visiting the Hong Kong fair for the first time to find original fun gifts that will make you smile. The fair features a large number of exhibitors and we have identified more than 10 potential suppliers mainly from the Chinese mainland. An initial order worth about US$5,000 was already placed with a Chinese supplier for six to eight items. This is a very good fair with so many innovative things on display. We’re so excited to have been here. We are now considering coming back next year as an exhibitor to showcase our own gift collections to expand business.”
Daniela Dimitrova, CEO, Podaraci.Bg Ltd., Bulgaria
“This is my third visit to the Hong Kong fair. I am looking for new promotional items from packaging products to paper items and electronic gadgets. Our company sells a comprehensive range of products covering more than 5,000 items in Spain. I have visited different international trade fairs. This is the best fair of the world in terms of finding new ideas and novelty products. So far, I have found a Taiwanese suppliers and two others from the Chinese mainland for different products such as packaging bags and power banks for mobile devices. A US$5,000 test order was placed with one of the Chinese suppliers. I love the Hong Kong fair.”
Javier Moliner, CEO, International Gadgets Promotions, Spain
"Exhibitions are the most important sourcing channel for us. Around 30-40% of our merchandise are sourced through the exhibition platform. Going green is definitely the market trend. As education and conservation is one of Ocean Park's core values, we are increasingly looking for eco-friendly items such as organic T-shirts, biodegradable bamboo products or merchandise with environmental and conservation messages. Collaboration is another business trend. To show our support to local design, we have stepped up collaboration with local illustrators such as Yeung Hok-tak and Siu Hak to produce merchandise."
Vania Mak, Merchandising Manager, Ocean Park Corporation, Hong Kong

“Our Craftholic collection features fun characters in striking prints on super soft hug cushion and accessories with sales presence all over the world. We see strong demand from working women in Asia and kids in Europe for our items. The Hong Kong fair serves as a platform for us to expand overseas sales. We are particularly keen to find buyers and distributors from South America. We’ve received strong interest particularly from Asian buyers during the fair this year. They are collecting information of our products and we will send samples to them for further discussions. Things are well managed at the fair and we’ve seen an increased number of visitors this year.”
Tatsuo Hayashi, Senior Manager, Accent Corporation, Japan
“Plastoria is a leading company developing luxury accessories under license from famous international brands, with a strong presence in Europe and the Middle East in particular. We have been participating in Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair for many years. This event offers us a platform to provide an overview of our new collections to customers all over the world. We are here to meet our distributors, strengthen business relationship and maintain our profile. The focus is not receiving orders. This is an excellent fair. We can see so many international customers here such as buyers from the Middle East, the Pacific region and Asia. That is the key reason to be here.”
Lionel Wajs, Chief of Operations, Plastoria SA, Belgium
"green & associates (HK) Limited started to provide eco home accessories & lifestyle products in 2005. We have seen the rise of ecological awareness and real demand for green products in the market. Our customers range from retailers to corporates including airlines and fashion brands. We have entered into partnership with corporates to launch new products such as our weathering degradable ceramics that is a collaborative work with World Wildlife Fund. Over 70% of our business is derived from collaboration with different corporates. We’ve received strong interest particularly from Japanese buyers during the fair this year."
C.L. Lam, Creative Director, green & associates (HK) Ltd, Hong Kong |
